Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Service Overview

The App is a food inventory, expiration tracking, and shopping list application that provides the following features:

• Recording food inventory, quantities, storage locations, categories, and expiration or best-before dates
• Viewing foods by expiration timing and receiving reminders based on your settings
• Creating, editing, and completing shopping list items
• Managing food categories, units, and frequently used food names
• Cloud sync and group sharing for family or household use, where available through the Pro plan or sync features

3. Accounts

3.1 Account Registration

To use cloud sync, group sharing, or Pro features, you may need to sign in with a Google account or Apple ID. You are responsible for managing your account credentials.

3.2 Account Deletion

You can delete your account from within the App. After account deletion, server-side account information associated with your account will be removed.

4. Subscriptions (Pro Plan)

4.1 Plans and Pricing

The App provides basic features for free. The Pro plan is available via the following subscriptions:

• Monthly plan
• Annual plan

Prices are as displayed on the App Store or Google Play store pages.

4.2 Payment and Renewal

• Subscription payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Cancellation can be done through your App Store or Google Play subscription management settings

4.3 Refunds

Refunds are subject to the refund policies of the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not process refunds directly.

4.4 Expiration of Pro Features

When your subscription period ends, Pro-exclusive features, including managing more inventory and shopping items, family or group sharing, and cross-device cloud sync, may be disabled or limited. Data stored locally will remain accessible.

4.5 Free Plan Limits

The free plan may apply limits such as the total number of inventory and shopping list items when cloud sync or group sharing is enabled. When a limit is reached, adding new items or syncing additional data may be restricted.

5. Free Plan

When sync features are not used, data is primarily stored locally on your device. Local storage limits depend on your device's available storage.

6. User Responsibilities

By using the App, you agree to:

• Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and these Terms
• Not record or store illegal, harmful, threatening, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable content
• Not record or store content that infringes on the rights of others
• Not engage in activities that compromise the App's security
• Confirm and judge food expiration, freshness, storage condition, and disposal decisions at your own responsibility

7. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the App and its content, including design, logos, and software, belong to BitFlap LLC. Data recorded by users in the App remains the property of the user.

8. Data and Backups

8.1 Local Data

Your data is primarily stored on your device. We are not responsible for data loss due to device loss, malfunction, app uninstallation, or other local device issues.

8.2 Cloud Sync

Cloud sync is intended for backup, cross-device sharing, and family or group sharing, but does not guarantee data integrity or availability. We recommend maintaining your own backups for important data.

8.3 Notifications

Notifications are provided to help you check expiration dates and reminders. We do not guarantee notification delivery, accuracy, or timing.

9. Disclaimer

• The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied
• We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the App
• We are not liable for service interruptions, data loss, or security breaches beyond reasonable measures
• Food expiration dates, notifications, inventory information, and shopping list information displayed by the App are management aids based on user-entered data and do not guarantee food safety or quality

10. Service Changes and Termination

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App's features without prior notice. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of significant changes.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

• These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with Japanese law
• The Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these Terms

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms become effective upon posting within the App or on our website.

13. Personal Information

Personal information is handled according to our separate "Privacy Policy".
