Terms of Service

Article 1: Application

• These Terms apply to all aspects of the Service between Users and the App.
• By using the Service, Users are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.

Article 2: Service Content

The App provides the following services:

• Automatic face detection and blur processing in photos
• Tap-to-reveal functionality for selectively unblurring faces
• Three blur styles: Gaussian, Mosaic, and Stamp (12 emoji options)
• Manual brush tool for blurring non-face areas
• Saving and sharing of processed photos
• Other related services as determined by the App

Article 3: Terms of Use

• The Service is free to use with advertisements.
• Photo library permission is required to process images.
• All processing happens on-device. No internet connection is required.
• We will notify Users in advance if paid features are added in the future.

Article 4: User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for ensuring their use of the App complies with applicable laws and respects the privacy and rights of individuals in photos. Users must:

• Obtain appropriate consent before sharing photos of other people
• Not use the App to process or distribute photos of others in a harmful manner
• Comply with all applicable privacy laws and regulations

Article 5: Prohibited Actions

Users must not:

• Violate laws or public order and morals
• Use the App in ways that invade others' privacy or cause harm
• Process or distribute others' photos without appropriate consent
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Interfere with the App's operation
• Attempt unauthorized access or modification
• Copy, modify, or redistribute the Service
• Use for commercial purposes without permission
• Any other actions deemed inappropriate by the App

Article 6: Intellectual Property Rights

• All content in the App (design, graphics, audio, text, etc.) and intellectual property rights belong to BitFlap LLC or legitimate rights holders.
• Users may not use, copy, or reproduce App content beyond personal use.

Article 7: Service Changes and Termination

The App may change or discontinue the Service without notice to Users. The App bears no responsibility for any damages resulting from such changes.

Article 8: Disclaimer

• The App does not guarantee the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or usefulness of the Service.
• The App is not responsible for any damages arising from Service use.
• The App does not guarantee that face detection will identify all faces in every photo.
• The App is not responsible for device failures or data loss.
• The App does not guarantee that the Service is free from bugs or defects.
• Users are responsible for ensuring the lawful use of processed photos.

Article 9: Compensation for Damages

If Users violate these Terms and cause damage to the App, Users are responsible for compensating such damages.

Article 10: Personal Information

Personal information is handled according to our separate "Privacy Policy".

Article 11: Changes to Terms

The App may change these Terms as necessary. Changes become effective when posted in the App or on our website.

Article 12: Governing Law and Jurisdiction

• These Terms are governed by Japanese law.
• The Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes related to the Service.

Article 13: Severability

If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in effect.
